January 11, 2010 Landscape Design
Fred Paiva is the Landscape Design Service Manager at Sheridan Nurseries in Unionville and he will share his expertise in landscape design trends.
February 8, 2010 February Potluck Dinner, 6:00 p.m.
Potluck dinner - Members and Guests. Followed by a presentation.

Nightlighting
Sean James, President, Fern Ridge Landscaping and a Master Gardener, will speak about the beauty and value of low volt lighting in the garden.
March 8, 2010 New Environmental Products
Carson Arthur currently is the host of HGTV's Green Force, he previously hosted the Gemini nominated show Room to Grow. Carson focuses on creating harmony between urban needs and ecological choices. His book entitled Garden Designs for Outdoor Living showcases creating spaces that work for the environment and for today’s lifestyles.
April 12, 2010 Inspiration from Gardens around the World
Marjorie Mason of Mason House Gardens (formerly Mason Hogue Nurseries), near Uxbridge, one of Canada’s most knowledgeable and influential garden authorities, will be talking about her garden travels.

OGC Plant Sale
The Oshawa Community Health Centre – Conant Seniors Centre, 115 Grassmere Ave.

9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Open to the public. To get to the annual Plant Sale, follow Simcoe St. S. to Wentworth St. and go west to the first street south, which is Ravine St.  Follow Ravine St south for three blocks until you reach Grassmere where you turn right and it's right there. Signs will be posted in the area. The plant sale will be in the parking lot. Please bring a box for the plants you purchase. Guests welcome!

October 18, 2010 Bird Detective: Investigating the Secret Lives of Birds
Dr. Bridget Stutchbury is a professor and Canada Research Chair in Ecology and Conservation Biology at York University. She will bring her studies of the social lives of birds to us. She is author of the book Silence of the Songbirds (2007), and the upcoming The Bird Detective (2010).
