Darren, supported by his wife Wanda, is creating the most amazing botanical garden with what could very well be the largest collection of conifers in the world! As you explore their 18 acres you can see their vision coming to fruition - over 4 km's of walking trails, a Greek Temple, statuary and water features including a water fountain with synchronized lights and music and an amphitheatre for evening concerts and events that will replicate the grandeur of the Palace of Versailles. Speaker: Underused Shrubs for the Border and New Plant Introductions with Jon and Scott Story
Brothers Jon and Scott will talk about interesting and under-used shrubs for the border as well as new and recent plant introductions.
About Jon and Scott
Serving Clarington, Ontario, and the surrounding area for over 20 years now, Jon and Scott have been interested in horticulture since their youth. The two brothers decided to start growing perennials and annuals at the farm where they grew up in Orono, Ontario. For the most part the plants were sold wholesale to garden centres and landscapers. With their own interest in landscaping, which developed while spending several summers tending local cottage properties, they decided to add landscaping and maintenance services to their business. Today they maintain several properties, both commercial and residential, and run a seasonal garden centre from their farm in Orono, called The Garden Path.
